Ramadan is a great month. In this month, Allah Almighty revealed a book to our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The name of this book is the Holy Quran. This is the last book for the last Messenger of Allah. Allah divides the holy month into three stages or Ashras. But last Ashra is so important for us because there is one night in which our holy Quran revealed. The name of three ashras or stages are respectively: 1-Mercy of Allah 2- Forgiveness of Allah 3- Safety from Hell As Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) stated: It is the month, whose beginning is mercy, its middle, forgiveness and its end, freedom from the fire (Hell). Most of Muslims perform their Umrah in Ramadan because this is a great month of rewards. There is a great crowd of pilgrims in the city of Makkah.
