Why The Salah (Prayer) Is Important for Everyone | A Brief Article ON The Prayer

Salah is a very important part of Islam because it is the 2nd pillar of Islam. The sequence of Pillars in Islam are respectively Shadah, Salah, Ramadan, Zakah, and Hajj. Allah made it compulsory after the night of Miraj. The number of Salah in one day is five.

Once a man asked the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) about the most virtues deed. The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said that the most virtues deed is the prayer (Salah). The man asked again and again and for the first 3 times, the Muhammad (PBUH) replied, “The prayer,” then on the 4th occasion He (PBUH) said, “Jihad in the way of Allah”.

The importance of Salah is showed in many of the Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace Be Upon Him) statements.

For example, Muhammad (PBUH) stated at one moment:

The 1st mater that the slave will be brought to account for on the Day of Judgment is the Salah. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound. And if it is incomplete, then the rest of his deeds will be incomplete.

In the month of Ramadan, Muslims try to perform their all prayers because reword of one worship is equal to seventy worships. Let’s imagine, if you offer the prayers in the month of Ramadan, in the Al-Haram mosque or Al-Nabvi mosque.

You may not be imagined how much rewards are there when you perform the Umrah. Nowadays, it is easy for everyone who wants to perform Umrah this year because many travel agencies give a Cheap Ramadan Umrah Package for this purpose.

It is obligatory for every person who confesses the Shadah, Allah didn’t even immune the Muslims from praying during the battle.

As Allah says in the Holy Quran:

Guard strictly your prayers… If you fear, pray on foot, or riding.

Benefits of Salah:

Salah works for you like the Shield against evil.

As Allah Almighty says in the Holy Quran:

Verily, Salah (prayer) abstains (oneself) from shameful and unjust deed…

Improves the soul:

Salah is a source of contact between Creator and human.

As Allah says in the Holy Quran:

Without the doubt, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.

Salah makes us humble and it is caused by demolishing pride and arrogance.

Allah says in the Holy Quran:

Successful indeed are the believers, who are humble in their Salahs (prayers).

Salah washes away sins those who commit.

Allah says in the Holy Quran:

And perform Salah (prayer) … surely the good deeds remove the evils deeds.

The Prophet of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said to his companions,

Consider if one of you had a river by his door in which he bathed 5 times a day.
Would any filth remain on him?

They said, no. Then the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) replied:

Likewise, Allah wipes away sins with the 5 daily prayers.

It works between Muslims as unity. When a Muslim performs Salah in a congregation, then salah cultivates equality, humility, and brotherhood between Muslims.

Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) stated:

Prayer in congregation is better than praying alone by 27 degrees.

The Prayer Rite:

Muslims offer their prayers in Arabic language and they can’t offer it in another language.

The parts of Salah (prayer):

The first part of Salah is Takbir:

Muslims stand and raise their open hands to shoulder level and declaring Allahu Akbar.

The second part of Salah is Qiyaam:

In the condition of standing, muslims cross their right arm over their left across their chest or navel and recite the verses of the Holy Quran.

The third part of Salah is Ruku:

Muslims bow toward Makkah put their hands on their knees and saying Glory be to Allah, the greatest, 3-times.

The fourth part of Salah is Second Qiyyam:

After the Ruku, return to a standing position, arms at their sides. Allah’s glory is declared again.

Fifth part of Salah is Sujud:

Muslims kneel with only palms, forehead, nose, knees, and toes touching the ground.
Glory be to Allah, the highest is repeated 3 times.

Sixth part of Salah is Tashahhud:

Transition into a seated pose, feet below them and hands-on laps. This is an occasion to stop and reflect on one's prayer.

Seventh part of Salah is Sujud:

Again repeat the step of Suju.

Eighth Part of Salha is Tashahhud:

Again repeat the step of Tashahhud. This pose is also Qa’da. Now in this pose, to rise right index finger briefly, to declare the devotion.

Muslims offers their prayers after an announcement and it is called Adhan. The announcement is delivered from Mosques.

Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) stated: There are only three places of Ziyarah in the world and these places are the great mosques which names are Al-Haram Mosque, Al-Nabvi Mosque, and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Nowadays, many travel agencies provide several Umrah packages all inclusive. If anyone uses any package from these packages then he/she easily visit these holy sites of Islam.
