Can Anyone get Umrah Visa After Ramadan 2024?

Umrah is a pilgrimage to Al-Haram Mosque which is situated in the sacred city of Makkah, in Saudi Arabia.  Umrah is known as minor pilgrimage or lesser pilgrimage while Hajj is known as a major pilgrimage. In Arabic, the word Umrah means “to visit a populated place”. Umrah can be performed at any time of year whereas Hajj can only be performed at a specific time of year.

Verily, millions of people will perform Umrah this year (2024) as it happened in past years. This year people can go to perform Umrah with the family and group (individually) with Umrah Packages 2024. All travel agencies have these packages.

Umrah is a good chance for every Muslim so that he/she can get more rewards there.

According to one hadith in which our beloved Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said:” The reward for praying at the Holy Mosque (Al-Haram Mosque) is equal to the reward for 100,000 regular prayers; the reward for praying at the Prophet’s Mosque (Al-Nabvi Mosque) is equal to the reward for 1000 regular prayers; and the reward for praying at the Al-Aqsa Mosque is equal to the reward for 500 regular prayers”.

So we conclude from this Hadith.

Al-Haram Mosque in Makkah = 100000 prayers

Al-Nabvi Mosque in Madina = 1000 prayers

Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine = 500 prayers

After performing Umrah, pilgrims visit the Al-Nabvi mosque and many other Ziyarat places, therefore, nobody wants to lose this chance of rewards.

There is a need for Umrah Visa to perform Umrah. If anyone has no Visa then he/she cannot perform Umrah. Umrah Visa is closed after the 15th Ramadan and it will open after the month of Hajj (Dhul Hijjah), therefore, nobody can perform Umrah after Ramadan.

Umrah is allowable for those people who are GCC nationals. GCC is a full form of  Gulf Cooperation Council; the economic and political alliance of 6 Middle Eastern countries – Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. Umrah is also allowable for those people who have work permits and are residents of Saudi.

Many people who live in other countries (UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and the USA) can easily perform Umrah with the cheapest price of flights, hotels, and transport after Ramadan but they can’t perform Umrah.

They should not be upset here because there is one solution to this problem which is to select the best travel agency. In 2024 year, an Umrah visa will be issued to people after Ramadan. So the agency can arrange such Cheap April Umrah Packages which will be better for everyone. Now it all depends on you when you want to go to Saudi Arabia for Umrah.

Most travel agencies suggest the two months (Muharram and Safar) which are the off-peak season for Umrah. In this season, the price of flights, hotels, and transport are low vs the other season.

Umrah Visa Rules for Information:

Two recent passport-size photographs with a background colour white.

Need a Shahadah certificate for those who have non-Muslim names.

Need relationship certificates for women and children.

Need a notarized letter for women whose age is above or equal to 45 years.

Note: The Saudi Government does not give permission to those pilgrims who perform Umrah in Ramadan that they spend Eid-al-Fitr in Saudi Arabia. Pilgrims can only stay for two weeks in Saudi Arabia and every pilgrim should leave the country before Ramadan ends.
